Why Smart Entrepreneurs Never Use Just One Bank
Modern compliance systems punish concentrated banking risk. This video explains why international businesses separate treasury from operations and build redundancy before an account review or restriction becomes an emergency.
Transcript excerpt
Here's what actually works. You split your money across at least two different tiers. Your treasury tier sits at HSBC or JP Morgan or UBS, at a tier one bank. This account doesn't move. It holds capital. It builds institutional credibility, and when a wire originates from a tier one bank like JP Morgan, the receiving bank's trusted more likely. That's institutional weight. That's what protects you from a compliance review every single time you pay yourself or you purchase something big that's important to you. Your operations tier is a Wise or Revolut account. This is where transaction actually happen: payroll, client invoicing, multi-currency transfers, where having high velocity and a low balance, and very low costs here. Money flows through here constantly. These accounts are designed to move money, not to hold and store it. The genius is in the separation. If your operation account freezes, your treasury stays untouched and protected. Your business keeps running. Your capital stays protected.
