Second citizenship, explained plainly

A few countries grant citizenship to applicants who make an approved contribution or investment and pass strict due diligence. Redomiciled helps clients understand these programmes, checks eligibility and coordinates applications with authorised agents. Citizenship is granted at the sole discretion of the government concerned and is never guaranteed.

Questions

What is citizenship by investment?

A legal route to citizenship offered by a small number of countries in return for an approved contribution or investment. Every applicant goes through background and source-of-funds checks before any decision.

Is holding a second passport allowed?

Only where both your current country and the new one permit dual citizenship. Some countries restrict or prohibit it, so check the rules of your current nationality first; we can introduce independent legal counsel.

How long does it take?

Timelines depend on the programme and on the due diligence process. We give an estimate at the outset; the government decides whether and when citizenship is granted.

Does a second passport change where I pay tax?

That depends on the rules of each country involved and on your personal circumstances. We do not give tax advice; an independent tax professional should confirm your position before you apply.
