3 offshore jurisdictions beginners should know
Three offshore jurisdictions for beginners: a US LLC, Hong Kong and Cyprus. If structured correctly, these can help founders access global banking, reduce taxes and build internationally; each works for different business models.
Transcript excerpt
Here are the top three business jurisdictions for offshore beginners. Pick number one, the US LLC. If the US LLC is structured correctly, you can have 0% corporation tax while still being in a respected jurisdiction with amazing banking access. Additionally, the US LLC doesn't have any accounting obligations, which means that you can focus on scaling your business rather than bureaucratic tasks. The second best option is Hong Kong. For clients with a similar profile who cannot use the US LLC because they're either dealing with physical goods or in financial services, Hong Kong offers similar tax advantages just with low maintenance. Pick number three is Cyprus. If you're just starting out and you feel like leaving the EU is hard, then Cyprus might be the right option for you. Cyprus offers pretty low corporation tax and gives you a personal tax residency with the company if structured correctly for a very cheap price.
