Bank vs EMI: Who Wins Each Category?
Bank or EMI? From onboarding speed and FX to reserves, credit and international payments, each has a different advantage. Find out which setup makes more sense for daily business operations, treasury and holding funds.
Transcript excerpt
Opening speed? EMI, usually days, not weeks. International day-to-day payments? EMI, those are typically built for it and particularly cheap. Very large or special transactions? Here, the bank is the better fit. Multi-currency and FX? An EMI because typically you have better rates here. Holding reserves? Typically the bank. Deposits may be protected, EMI funds only safeguarded. Credit? Definitely the bank. EMIs are not full-service lenders. Human support? Honestly, it depends on the provider and the team behind it, not the license. So? For our clients, we always recommend both. Bank for treasury and reserves, EMI for daily international work.
