Transcript excerpt
I have opened over 650 bank accounts across 48 different jurisdictions for my clients. Here's how I rank them. USA? Own it. No CRS reporting for non-US citizens. This means you're completely outside of the global data sharing pool. A lot of people don't know that, but for foreigners, the US is still the largest offshore provider in the world. UK? Hard pass for your own capital. AML regulations are super strict and you always have to build a case to move your own money. For business banking, the UK and specifically London is great. Switzerland? Own it if you bring enough capital. Regardless what other people say, Switzerland is still the non plus ultra for wealth management and private banking because they will bank any structure that you bring as long as you have the necessary proofs and enough capital to put into the accounts. Singapore? Own it if you bring seven figures. If you have below that, you're just a compliance headache that they will pass on.
