Ranking Every Banking Jurisdiction (2026 Tierlist)
Most people rank offshore banking by country. That’s the wrong approach. After opening more than 650 bank accounts across 48 jurisdictions, I’ve learned that success has very little to do with the country itself. It comes down to one thing: matching your profile to a bank’s risk appetite.
Transcript excerpt
Most offshore banking advice actually ranks countries and from my point of view that's the wrong angle. I personally have opened over 650 bank accounts across 48 jurisdictions and the data shows the tier placement has nothing to do with the country. It's about whether your profile matches the bank's risk appetite and if it matches, that's where the magic happens. So, what can happen is if you don't get that match right, then your account either doesn't get accepted when you try opening it or worse, when it's open and you having money in there, it gets flagged or frozen.
