Which Small Country Has the Best Banking Hub?
Georgia, Mauritius, Panama, Uruguay, Switzerland or Liechtenstein? We compare smaller banking hubs for diversification, private banking, international clients and high-touch service — and see how they stack up against each other.
Transcript excerpt
Georgia or Mauritius? Mauritius. Georgia is useful for diversification, but Mauritius is the stronger private banking option. Mauritius or Panama? Definitely Panama. Mauritius is attractive, but Panama has broader and more premium banking options. Panama or Uruguay? Tough one, but still Panama. It's still my pick because Uruguay is the Switzerland of Latin America, but Panama gives international clients a lot more options. Panama or Switzerland? Here Switzerland wins. Still one of the strongest private banking locations in the world, no matter what anyone says. Switzerland or Liechtenstein? Liechtenstein. You keep Swiss-style stability, but the service is smaller, more personal, and generally white glove. This is where I park my serious capital.
